One-Year Maintenance & Repair Service Description
When purchasing Bambu Lab equipment, 3DMart HK provides you with the choice of one year of FREE general maintenance or on-site maintenance service (optional) . For any operational inquiries, please contact the 3DMart HK email address.
• If the machine experiences any issues, please first fill out the technical support form.
• If the engineer assesses the damage as being due to user mishandling, self-modification, or if it falls outside the manufacturer's warranty coverage for non-manufacturer-related damages, the repair will not be covered. Consumables (e.g., nozzles) and spare parts are not covered under warranty.
• All operational training is provided by 3DMart personnel at an additional cost; you may inquire by filling out the contact form.
[Common Usage]
1. How long does it take from unboxing to the first print?
The X1 can be set up within 30 minutes, including removing the fixing screws for the heatbed and AMS, and downloading the software.
2. Does the printer have four modes? What are the differences between these modes, especially Silent mode, in terms of speed and noise?
The different modes simply adjust the acceleration and speed in the original G-code according to specific scaling factors. Silent mode uses the smallest acceleration and speed scaling factors.
3. How is the software updated?
The X1 and X1 Carbon models support OTA software upgrades. An update notification will appear on the printer's screen when new software is available for download and installation.
[Filament]
1. What types of filament are not supported by the AMS?
* The AMS does not support filaments that are too soft, such as TPU.
* Using brittle or particle-filled filaments may also cause AMS malfunctions.
2. Can the AMS be used to switch between different materials, like ABS and PLA, during a single print?
Due to the inherent material properties of the filaments, even mixing filaments with similar properties may cause nozzle clogs or result in printed models not meeting expectations. Therefore, we recommend not mixing filaments with different properties.
It should be noted that to reduce the risk of failure, Bambu Studio restricts mixing filaments with temperature deviations greater than 15°C.
3. Do X1 series printers support third-party filament?
Yes, any filament with a diameter of 1.75mm is compatible.
[Slicing]
1. Which printer functions cannot be used with third-party slicing software?
Functions such as the Automatic Material System (AMS), LiDAR first-layer inspection, and spaghetti detection are not compatible with third-party slicing software.
2. Are X1 series printers compatible with third-party slicing software?
Yes, they support the use of third-party slicing software, but this may be incompatible with some printer functions. We recommend using Bambu Studio for the best printing results.
3. When printing with the AMS, does the slicing software support materials with different printing temperatures?
This depends on the bonding strength between the materials and their requirements for the printing chamber temperature.
For example, ABS and PLA do not support multi-color printing because their printing temperatures differ too greatly, which can easily cause nozzle clogs.
[Accessories]
1. Can print platforms made of other materials be used for printing?
* Cool Plate: Supports printing temperatures up to 120°C.
* Engineering Plate: Supports printing temperatures up to 120°C.
* High Temp Plate (PEI surface): Supports printing temperatures up to 120°C.
2. Does the AMS support third-party filament spools?
Yes, but third-party spool specifications must fall within the range of 50-68mm (width) and 192-202mm (diameter).
3. Can nozzle usage time be detected to facilitate replacement?
We recommend judging the need for replacement by inspecting the nozzle's wear level instead. Printing habits and differences in filament can both cause nozzle wear, necessitating replacement.
