SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) 3D printing technology emerged in the mid-1980s, using high-powered lasers to sinter powdered polymers into 3D models. SLS technology does not require support structures and can produce prototypes with tensile strength and mechanical properties. Due to long-term patent restrictions and high prices, it wasn't until 2014 that the Polish manufacturer Sinterit launched the desktop SLS 3D printer Lisa at a very low price for this technology. Since then, other 3D printing companies have also actively entered the SLS desktop technology market, but so far, Sinterit's products remain outstanding and difficult to surpass. The Sinterit Lisa Pro was even selected by ALL3DP as the best SLS desktop 3D printer for Spring 2019.
Enhanced Features
Sinterit Lisa Pro is an evolved version of Lisa. Its main features include a larger build volume, capable of producing large parts up to 32 cm in a single piece, still without the need for support structures. Another significant feature is the new built-in nitrogen chamber, which allows for the use of various materials. Previously, the first-generation Lisa was limited to a few materials, but with the addition of this nitrogen chamber in the Sinterit Lisa Pro, it will be compatible with a wider range of material options.
Sinterit Lisa Pro will work with a range of 3D printing materials, including chemically resistant Nylon PA12, Flexa Black, and TPU for rubber-like applications. Upcoming releases include Flexa Grey for higher flexibility and PA11 for excellent chemical and temperature resistance.
Software and Accessories
In addition to the larger build volume and nitrogen chamber, the hardware and software have also been improved. For example, the new Sinterit Studio 2018 software now offers more automated settings and an improved user experience. Users can prepare 3D models before printing, arrange them within the build area, check designs, and monitor the 3D printing status.
