【3D Printing Application】Heroes Assemble, Deadpool is the cutest!
The eccentric superhero movie "Deadpool," released after Marvel's "Avengers" series, caused a sensation. The cute and charming, righteous (or villainous) character's morally ambiguous style, different from other justice-seeking heroes, was particularly popular with audiences. Deadpool's costume design includes a full-body spandex suit similar to Spider-Man's, as well as many wearable accessories such as a shoulder strap utility pouch, long swords, protective armor, and a belt. When imported into the slicing software Cura 4.0, there's a feature to preview all printing paths. Printing with a layer thickness of 0.15mm takes approximately one day, and the finished model will be about 17x24x30cm. We used the latest model, the Ultimaker S5 3D printer, to print this large object. The image shows the stacked texture characteristic of FDM, which is a result of the molding technology's principle. In addition to the normal stacked texture, other details like scratches, undulations, and bullet holes on the small pouches are all exquisite, realistic details of the 3D model itself!
Although the 3D printed product is one-piece, the depth of detail is sufficient, making it visually appear as if the accessories can be detached. The chest buckle, neck ring, and straps all have a very three-dimensional feel.
The depth of the sword handle on the back and the sword marks on the armor are also incredibly realistic, and even the fabric depth on the side of the small accessory pouch is captured. Our Ultimaker S5 3D printer still fully reproduces the precise depth of every detail.
You can also notice that the wrinkles on the bodysuit are simulated with remarkable realism. We recommend that players who want to collect this model set their 3D printer to the highest precision to see even more equipment details on the back.
We're providing multiple angles for everyone to enjoy. The editor can't help but praise the character design of "Deadpool" and the original model creator. The 3D model's muscular chest combined with the devilishly charming expression makes one want to applaud and cheer. The facial expressions are as rich as in the movie, perfectly capturing the essence of the character.
We also took a reverse approach! We used the Shining Einscan Pro HD handheld HD mode to perform a 3D scan of the Deadpool model (Click here to see the complete Deadpool 3D scan record). We scanned every aspect of the model by moving around it freely, ensuring a wide and unrestricted scanning range regardless of model size. If the 3D scanned object is made of black fabric, transparent glass, metallic reflective materials, or anything else that might affect light conditions, don't worry! Simply spray a scanning powder developer on the surface, and you can proceed with the scan smoothly!
