3DMart wishes everyone a Happy New Year and "Pig" Wishes All the Best! To express our blessings, we, of course, presented festive new year items for the occasion. 3DMart celebrates the new year with everyone!
We used both the Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 to print this series of pig friends. This time we used PLA with a super-fine layer height setting of 0.1mm, so the printing time was about 3 hours or more. The pigs printed in the extra-large Ultimaker S5 all became mini pigs.
In addition, the contact surface of prints from general 3D printers is usually flatter and sharper. However, since both the Ultimaker 3 and Ultimaker S5 have a dual nozzle system, using PVA water-soluble support at the bottom can make the contact edges between the print and the platform more perfect.
This time, many different colors were printed, ensuring that colleagues at both the Taipei headquarters and Taichung branch all received one. Together, these "pig" figures bring good fortune, ensuring a smooth and prosperous year for you!
We also tried printing colorful pigs. Although dual nozzles are generally used for two-color or two-material 3D printing, it's possible to print colorful products by estimating the number of colors and changing the filament in the middle of the print.
The colorful pigs stand out beautifully when placed with the others. We also took close-up shots for everyone to see the results of high-precision printing. The texture from high-precision printing is very satisfying to touch.
