Connecting every Ultimaker 3D printer via the Ultimaker Digital Factory raises concerns about data leakage through the network, which is even more critical for businesses! With the updated firmware, you can manage it using Ultimaker Essentials. Select the "Enable Firewall" option in the menu to strictly control network security and block users from other network sources. ．Static IP Remote Operation
Enterprise production teams can set up fixed IP addresses themselves via USB. Combined with WiFi to connect with a static IP address, it is more stable and convenient to control each Ultimaker 3D printer, effectively improving the organization's operational efficiency.
1. Download the file ultimaker_network.config (Click here to download)
2. Insert/transfer the ultimaker_network.config file to your Ultimaker S3 / S5 3D printer via USB.
3. In the network menu, select "Setup network via USB", then click "Import From USB" and select the ultimaker_network.config file.
．Filament Menu Subdivisions: Brand, Color, Material
Previously, users could only select "Material Type". After the firmware upgrade, the interface displays more detailed classifications, allowing users to choose by "Brand," "Type," and "Color" (in addition to displaying Ultimaker original 3D printing filaments, third-party material parameters downloaded from the Marketplace will also show detailed options).
