【3D Printing Test】Phrozen Mini 8K Tutorial: Spider-Manvs.Green Goblin!
Who says Spider-Man is homeless? 3D printing brings him right to your home! Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the villain Green Goblin faces off! High-precision character models, an in-depth look at the 8K production process, and a complete tutorial on Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K resin 3D printing, including unboxing, software, and equipment. I. Z-axis Calibration (Video 00:19)
After unboxing, place the 3D printer on a platform, remove the protective film, open the full-cover lid, and take out the accessories, which include connection cables, spatulas, gloves, funnels, USB, and other complete tool sets.
1. Loosen fixing screws
Remove the resin vat and loosen the left and right fixing screws of the print platform (the platform does not need to be removed).
2. Place paper, one-click start
Place a piece of paper on the LCD panel, click "Z Calib" on the touchscreen, and the print platform will automatically lower until it is flush with the LCD panel at the bottom.
3. Tighten screws, raise platform
After it is completely flush with the paper at the bottom and the LCD panel, re-tighten the four screws on the left and right sides of the platform. Finally, click "Done" on the screen, and the platform will rise back to the top, completing the calibration.
(Confirm the above 3 steps, check if the bottom LCD curing light is on, and finally lock the resin vat to start printing.)
II. 3D Model Slicing (Video 00:56)
The Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K uses CHITUBOX slicing software.
1. Click "Settings" to enter the settings page.
2. Click the "Add" icon to enter the device selection interface, and find the specified 3D printer "Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K".
3. Select the resin to be used.
4. Insert the 3D model file. Users can adjust detailed parameters according to their preferences and printing conditions.
5. After the data settings are complete, drag the right scroll bar to view and simulate the actual forming process. Before starting 3D printing, check every overhanging part of the model to see if supports have been fully built.
Finally, click "Slice" to obtain the model slice file. After the software calculation, detailed information will be displayed, including the material resin type and printing time. Save the file to a USB, upload it to the machine, and start printing after reading it on the Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K.
III. Preparing for 3D Printing (Video 01:35)
1. Pour resin
Pour resin into the resin vat and stir evenly with a spatula.
2. Close the full-cover hood
3. Upload file
Insert USB to upload 3D model file.
4. Select file
Click "3D Print" on the touchscreen, then select the file from the USB.
5. Start operation
Finally, click "GO" to start 3D printing.
IV. Post-processing of Finished Product (Video 02:36)
After resin 3D printing is complete, the surface of the model will be covered with liquid resin. This time, we use the WANHAO BOXMAN-1 UV Post-Curing Light to cure the model and remove the support structures.
1. Remove platform
Remove the print platform along with the 3D printed model.
2. Scrape off model
Use a spatula to scrape the finished product off the platform.
3. Clean surface
Immerse the model in alcohol to clean off residual resin from the surface.
4. Cure model
Use a UV post-curing light to quickly cure the 3D printed model.
V. Finished Product Display (Video 02:36)
Spider-Man assembly model 3D printing total time: 21 hours
．Spider-Man: 9 hours
．Back claws: 2 hours
．Base building: 10 hours
