Quick Guide to Ultimaker Cura 3.5's New Features:
.Hotkeys
Use hotkeys to switch between model manipulation tools for a better user experience.
.Monitor Screen
The redesigned Ultimaker Cura monitor screen is more consistent with Cura Connect.
.3MF File Format
No longer using the "curaproject" extension, all Ultimaker Cura files can now be saved in 3MF format, making them more compatible with other 3D software.
New User Experience
.File Menu: We have changed the format of the file menu; "Save" now saves the file, and "Export" saves the model in another file format.
.New Tool Hotkeys: Hotkeys have been assigned for quick switching between Pan (T), Scale (S), Rotate (R), and Mirror (M) tools.
.Open Recent Projects: You can now find your most recent files and commonly used models in the "Open Recent…" menu.
.Material Preferences: Materials can now be organized into folders, making them quickly accessible in the material selection panel in the top right corner.

.Monitor Page: The monitor page of Ultimaker Cura has been redesigned to be more consistent with Cura Connect's "Print Job" interface; this reduces transition time and enhances control within Ultimaker Cura.

.Save Project: Saving projects no longer requires re-slicing, making it ideal for files that take a long time to slice!
.Slicing Enhancements
Improved Vertical Build Plane Handling: Automatically detects vertical build planes and prints them at different speeds, without starting prints on overhangs. Printing different build planes at different speeds can provide higher quality and stable results.

.Minimum Polygon Perimeter
Sliced layer polygons with a perimeter smaller than the set value will be filtered out. A smaller value can create higher resolution results but increases slicing time; this setting is suitable for small-scale prints with a lot of detail or SLA printers.
.Set Bottom Support Density
This setting can increase or decrease the density of the bottom support material to adjust adhesion to the heated bed and overall strength.
.Additional Infill Walls
This adds extra vertical walls around the infill area, which helps support top/bottom surface lines to reduce sagging. It allows you to reduce top or bottom surface printing while maintaining the same quality, but consumes some extra material.
.Stable Prime Tower
Printing with two materials that do not adhere well can cause the prime tower to fail. Therefore, we repurposed the prime tower to generate an outer shell of one material and a space for the second material's adhesion, resulting in a stronger and more stable prime tower than before.

.Multiple Infill
Generate multiple infill lines on the same plane to make the object stronger.
.Connect Infill Polygons
Similar to connecting infill lines, polygons of the same layer can now be connected; this feature can be combined with "Multiple Infill" and "Extra Infill" to ensure a continuous pattern for any infill.
.Fan Speed Override.
Under "Fan Speed Override" in the "Support Settings" menu, a new setting has been added to modify the fan speed in bridging areas; this is only effective when using support material.
.Minimum Wall Thickness
A new setting has been added to the "Shell" category to define the minimum value for thin-walled print surfaces.
.Support Infill Line Direction
The support infill lines can now be rotated to increase support functionality and reduce imperfections on the model. This setting rotates existing patterns, such as triangular support infill.

New Plugins
.Cura Settings Guide
A detailed, searchable Cura index with images for reference.
.Custom Supports
A tool to stop automatic support generation, allowing you to manually add desired support sections by selecting parts.
.Quick Toggle Auto Slice
Added a toggle button to quickly enable/disable automatic slicing.
.Version in Title Bar
Displays the version in the application's title bar for quick reference.
.External Printer Support
New preset files have been added for TiZYX, Winbo, Tevo Tornado, Creality CR-10S, and Wanhao Duplicator. Deltacomb and Dacoma settings have also been updated.
.Bug Fixes
For better stability and performance, we have fixed various bugs in this version. This includes removing redundant M109 commands and unnecessary movements in GCODE, improving the number of additional surface constructions and the order of printing models, and more.
Thanks to smartavionics, fieldOfView, BagelOrb, Kriechi, MarmaladeForMeat, and cubic for their contributions. We would also like to especially thank all the testers who helped us provide the best user experience for this version.
