【Cura Software】Version 4.9: Seamless Software Integration, One-Time Slicing and Upload!
Ultimaker Cura has been updated to version 4.9. In addition to enhancing the stability of the older system, and to provide users with more convenient and faster 3D printing quality, Cura slicing software is now integrated with Ultimaker Digital Factory, launching the new "Ultimaker Digital Library" system. You can directly open and upload files to the online platform within the Cura interface, eliminating the need to switch between pages, saving pre-processing time, and enabling remote online control, so you can start your 3D printer even when you're not in the studio. Check out the nine new features:
.Seamless Software Integration: Ultimaker Digital Library
Before starting 3D printing, users need to set the detailed parameters of the model in Ultimaker Cura slicing software according to their needs, and then upload the sliced 3D file via Wi-Fi to the Ultimaker Digital Library to remotely start Ultimaker 3D printing (USB upload is also an option).

With the latest Cura 4.9 version, users can directly open files from the Digital Library within the Ultimaker Cura software. After setup is complete, they can also directly export files to Ultimaker Digital Factory > Digital Library, eliminating the need to switch between pages, further streamlining the pre-processing workflow, and significantly improving efficiency.

(In the Ultimaker Digital Library, you can choose private access or online sharing of 3D print files.)
In Cura's latest 4.9 version, Ultimaker has upgraded the subtle settings and visual display of models, improving 3D printing accuracy and the correctness when viewing details. The eight functions include:
1. Automatic Preview, No Manual Switching: Line Type Mode
In previous versions of Cura, selecting the Preview mode allowed you to switch to Line Type mode, where the system displayed different structures like infill, supports, and printed objects with different colored lines; with the updated version, users no longer need to manually switch, as Line Type preview is now the default mode, making it clear at a glance upon entering the interface.

2. Automatically Display 3D Print Start Point
The Ultimaker Cura display system enhances model detail viewing. The system also automatically displays the actual 3D print start point, allowing users to check the path during pre-processing and improve the success rate of every 3D print.
3. Layer Seam, Marked for Inspection
During the 3D printing filament process, due to stacking and extrusion, there may be slight seams between materials. The system will display these with a "white Z-shape" icon, showing small markers on each layer. Users can instantly check if seams are fully hidden to ensure the quality of the 3D printed product.

4. Latest Features, Always Notified
Log in to Ultimaker Cura, and the interface now has a new "notification light" to check for updated features at any time.
5. Weight Estimation (in percentage)
Users can thus understand the amount of material used in detail, which is especially suitable for complex, small-sized objects.
6. Added Third-Party 3D Printer Configurations
Ultimaker has added space for 18 third-party 3D printers to be configured, saving operation time and improving efficiency.
