【3D Printing Application】A Gathering of Emerging Designers: A Wonderful Review of the Young Designers' Exhibition!
The "Young Designers' Exhibition" is currently the largest joint exhibition of design students, showcasing diverse design fields including product and craft, visual communication, multimedia, space and architecture, and fashion. It is an important platform in Taiwan for discovering excellent design talent and outstanding creativity. The exhibition attracts approximately 90,000 visitors annually, and this year, 3DMart also sponsored students to participate in the Young Designers' Exhibition. Let's take a look back at the wonderful works of these emerging designers!

First, at "National Taipei University of Technology," where we are based, the industrial design students' works this year are full of streamlined shapes, many of which are related to humanitarian care and environmental protection issues.

3DMart provided the latest Ultimaker S5 3D printer on-site to print free giveaways for students. These were produced and given away immediately, drawing crowds of visitors who often packed the small counter aisle. The 3D printed postcards designed by NTUT were small and exquisite, featuring intricate multi-layered structures such as cut-outs, raised elements, and engravings within just five centimeters. We are delighted that the Ultimaker S5 was able to meet these precise requirements.

National United University used an Ultimaker 3, and the students designed 3D printed miniature wrenches, which were given away for free on-site to students and were immediately snapped up on the first day of the Young Designers' Exhibition. If you visit a design exhibition in the future, you can purchase practical and interesting design products from the students. Our colleagues couldn't resist buying their uniquely shaped glass jars to support these future rising stars.

Many cultural and creative products incorporate handmade and wooden designs, emphasizing the sensory and interactive experience between people and products, or embodying storytelling concepts.

There were many groundbreaking achievements in industrial design. This operational quadcopter, which goes beyond a mere display model, features a front camera that can rotate 360 degrees like a robotic arm. Its power was so strong that it almost "broke free" from its stand and took flight directly within the exhibition hall.

The most astonishing exhibits were the futuristic sports cars, jet ski models, and more. The small 3D printed model in the picture is dwarfed by the main work; it appears to have been produced with a single-nozzle 3D printer. The more prominent texture could have been smoother if a dual-nozzle system with PVA water-soluble supports had been used. Many customized design samples on display were made using 3D printing, a departure from the traditional method of cutting and sanding EK boards and then finding a factory to produce them. This not only reduces mold costs but also helps save time on manual production, which is extremely helpful for design students with limited time and budget, as well as a need for single customization.

Not only was 3D printing used for small prototypes to confirm the shape and function of large-scale works, but even the final products on display were manufactured using 3D printing before further processing and painting. Many schools even have internal 3D printing studios, allowing students to control the entire process from design to development. The speed of technological advancement truly makes one wish they were born a few years later!

We are glad to see the successful conclusion of the students' exhibitions, which truly opened the eyes of our special correspondent. If you have any needs, we also provide high-quality 3D printing services. We will continue to share the latest information on 3D printing technology and related industries.
