【3D Printing Lecture】2025 NTUEE MakeNTU Workshop Review
We were delighted to participate in the 2025 MakeNTU event again.
To ensure the smooth running of the MakeNTU competition in May, students first learned the basic concepts and knowledge of 3D printing. The goal was for them to be able to apply this knowledge smoothly on the day of the competition. The 3DMart team prepared slicing software tutorials, as well as introductions and guidance on the actual equipment.

The theme for 2025 MakeNTU is hEphaEstus.
hEphaEstus is derived from Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire and blacksmiths, a symbol of creativity and craftsmanship. Hephaestus was skilled at transforming various materials into powerful and practical tools and equipment to solve difficult problems.
This embodies the Maker spirit promoted by Make NTU: combining hardware and software technology with creativity, daring to explore and innovate, and creating unique and practical works.
We hope that participants, like Hephaestus, will bravely face challenges, apply their learned knowledge and skills to real life, and utilize existing hardware and software technologies to transform their ideas into practical creations, leveraging their creativity to solve real-world problems.
Through repeated discovery and creation, they will realize the original intention of MakeNTU – We need it, we make it.

This workshop focused on teaching the Bambu Lab 3D printer series: X1 Carbon Combo, P1S Combo, and X1E 3D Printer.
Bambu Lab 3D printers offer both printing speed and quality, coupled with simple and intuitive software operation, making them ideal for high-intensity and fast-paced competition environments.
In the past, 3D printer installation, calibration, testing, slicing software, and tedious parameter settings used to take a lot of time. With Bambu Lab, these steps can be completed within 20-30 minutes.
This allows participants to turn various creative ideas into reality in a short amount of time. Contestants can print finished products without requiring overly specialized knowledge, relying on its powerful functions, thereby focusing more on product design itself, realizing their innovative concepts, and transforming them into concrete practical works.

In addition to introducing the equipment's features and usage methods, the instructor also meticulously explained the execution steps of the slicing software "Bambu Studio" and various printing object parameters.
Including: layer height, inner and outer strength, support, printing speed, etc.
Students were also able to directly observe our prepared samples on-site, and then apply or provide feedback for their competition entries.
We hope that the participants will be able to fully realize their potential through the accumulation of knowledge and experience, creating amazing works!
