[3D Printing Materials] Bronze, Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel - Post-processing Methods for Metal 3D Printing Filaments

Today, I'll share the post-processing methods for metal-like 3D printing materials and the auxiliary tools needed. With the right combination, your finished products will exude an artistic aura reminiscent of ancient artifacts.

Post-processing consists of two steps: the first is sanding, followed by polishing.
 
Step 1 Sanding: The main purpose is to smooth out the layered surface of the printed object.

Tools: (Choose 1 or 2)
1. Sandpaper: It is recommended to use grit 220~240
2. Sanding sponge/sanding block
3. Small electric grinder: When choosing a small electric grinder, pay attention to the motor power; if the power is too low, it will take longer to grind, and if the power is too high and not controlled well, it can make the surface of the printed object uneven, which would be disastrous!

Step 2 Polishing: Use tools to bring out the inherent luster of the metal!Tools: (1 is sufficient)
1. Steel wool: It is recommended to use No. 2; the higher the number, the coarser the steel wool.
2. Wool polishing head (requires use with an electric tool): When using a wool polishing head with an electric tool, be careful not to polish the same area continuously, as it can easily turn black~
3. Rotary tumbler polisher: High price, but the advantage is that your hands won't get tired XD  

     

We aim to achieve the greatest results with the lowest budget, so whether it's sandpaper plus steel wool or a sanding sponge plus steel wool, it's all under approximately two hundred NTD!
Finally~ apply brass polish and you're done~ :)
