【3D Printing News】Ultimaker Material Alliance Program: Diverse New Choices.
Ultimaker, the preferred brand for 3D printers, recently announced at the Hannover Messe that its Material Alliance Program has impacted over 80 companies globally since its establishment in April last year. The program aims to develop materials for FFF 3D printing to meet the growing demand for industrial-grade 3D printing materials.

One year after Ultimaker launched the program, renowned material companies including BASF, DSM, DuPont, Owens Corning, Arkema, Jabil, and Lehmann&Voss&Co.BASF have actively participated in Ultimaker's collaborative initiative to accelerate the introduction of various FFF 3D printing filaments into the professional market.

Ultimaker's open material strategy allows for printing applications with different materials possessing specific properties, such as heat resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, elasticity, and strength. These characteristics are critical factors for engineers when selecting materials, and the corresponding parameter configurations can be downloaded from Ultimaker Cloud's Marketplace.
"Within just one year of its launch, the Ultimaker Material Alliance Program has gained widespread attention and has collaborated with global suppliers to develop new applications," said Paul Heiden, Vice President of Product Management at Ultimaker. For example, professional users can now choose to print with metal-filled filaments, producing results similar in appearance or texture to SLM metal printing. Through sanding or polishing, a metallic luster can be achieved, with benefits such as similar weight and affordable cost.

Another achievement of the program is that users can choose Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) filaments, making it more convenient for engineers and designers in the electronics industry to utilize 3D printing technology for product development. For those attending Hannover Messe, you can visit booth K06 in Hall 6 to see more live demonstrations of the Ultimaker Material Alliance Program. 3DMart will also continue to update 3D printing-related news to keep you informed with the latest information, so feel free to follow our fan page!
