“Let’s Make It”: Bambu Lab and Insta360 Join Forces on MakerWorld for the Luna Ultra Design Challenge

This collaboration marks the first time camera hardware customization has been openly offered, providing the maker community with official Luna Ultra design files to unleash their imagination and offering a chance to win the latest products from both brands.
Bambu Lab and Insta360 announced a joint marketing partnership and launched the “Insta360 Luna Ultra Design Challenge” on MakerWorld on July 10th. This collaborative initiative will run from July 10, 2026, to August 9, 2026, democratizing accessory customization by releasing public 3MF and STL files, enabling creators to craft precisely fitting camera accessories. With the launch of its official brand page, Insta360 also becomes the first camera brand to establish an official presence on MakerWorld.
Expanding Camera Accessory Customization with 3D Printing
“Think Bold. Print Bold.” – This is the core spirit driving the pioneering collaboration between Insta360 and Bambu Lab. This partnership empowers creators with the freedom to think outside the box, elevating the experience from simply operating a camera to personalizing its appearance with custom-made gear. By breaking free from the limitations of off-the-shelf parts, creators can now design user-oriented equipment tailored to their individual tastes or shooting environments.
The official Luna Ultra 3MF and STL design files are now available for free download on MakerWorld, allowing anyone to immediately begin building and 3D printing custom hardware around the camera body.

How the Challenge Works
To celebrate this collaboration, Insta360 and Bambu Lab have launched a dual-track competition designed to engage designers, engineers, and creatives. Participants can enter either or both tracks:
Track A: Model Design Challenge
Created for 3D designers and engineers, create and upload your work, tagging it with #PrintForLuna. Download the official Luna Ultra 3MF or STL design files from MakerWorld, then design and upload a precisely fitting physical camera accessory. Submissions fall into two main categories:
- Functional Add-ons (stabilizers, shooting kits, advanced creative tools)
- Creative Modifications (aesthetic casings, fun festive themes, stylized upgrades)
With the "One-Click Print" feature on MakerWorld and the Bambu Handy App, users worldwide can instantly bring these community-designed assets to life.

Track B: Community Content Challenge
Designed for creators, videographers, and imaging enthusiasts. Share your original Luna Ultra gear, DIY modifications, hand-drawn design concepts, or creative accessory ideas on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Reddit (r/Insta360).
Submissions can be photos, videos, or written creative ideas, and can be captured with any shooting equipment. To enter, tag your posts with #PrintForLuna, #BambuLab, and #Insta360LunaUltra. Please follow Bambu Lab's official social media accounts for full details and updates on this challenge.
Prizes and Timeline
The two competition tracks offer a total of 40 joint prizes, with a rich array of rewards, including hardware prizes, gift cards, and coupons totaling $11,160 USD.
Top creators will win the ultimate setup combining the latest products from both companies: an Insta360 Luna Ultra camera paired with a Bambu Lab X2D Combo or Bambu Lab A2L Combo 3D printer.
The submission period is one month (July 10th to August 9th). Prizes will be announced periodically throughout the challenge, with the final list of winners announced on August 20, 2026.
Your Dream, Our Reality
The best ideas from either track may be selected by Insta360 and Bambu Lab for further development, with the potential to be transformed into official products. Selected creators will unlock exclusive collaboration opportunities and additional rewards; full details will be confirmed directly with the winners.
