【3D Printing Application】Palette Filament Works Magic, Four Colors for Ultimate Satisfaction!
Can you 3D print multiple colors and materials at once with just one nozzle? Today, we're excited to share the "Mosaic Palette 2S Pro filament mixing device." When paired with the Ultimaker S3 3D printer, you can quickly achieve multi-color printing effects. Read on to find out how!
Palette Connects Multiple Filaments
The Palette 2S Pro filament mixing device fuses filaments with instant high heat, like magic. This allows a single nozzle on an Ultimaker 3D printer to print with four different colors and materials consecutively. The all-metal drive system also precisely controls filament length, eliminating the need for manual filament changes. This speeds up 3D printing time and saves filament. Even if you're using Ultimaker filament, there's no need to worry. The Palette 2/2 Pro Adapter is designed specifically for Ultimaker 3D printers that use 2.85mm filament, allowing for stable printing with 1.75mm filament.
CANVAS Slicing Software
Using CANVAS, the dedicated slicing software for the Palette 2S Pro, you can set the color, material, and adjust the size of your 3D model according to your needs. Simply register for a free online account to edit on the web. Files can also retain all parameter settings and be easily shared in the cloud.
By dragging and dropping the desired colors onto the 3D model, the software will automatically display them on the object's surface. After setting, click the "Slice" button to start slicing. The interface also allows you to preview the 3D printing process directly.
Automatic Filament Change Detection
The primary function of the Palette 2S Pro is to splice multiple filaments for 3D printing. To ensure each filament color is clean and free of impurities, when the run-out sensor detects a filament change, the system automatically moves to the "transition tower" to extrude a layer of filament. Only then does the print head return to the model to continue the job, resulting in a more perfect 3D print.
Single Nozzle Four-Color Printing
We've previously shared how to perform dual-color printing using an Ultimaker 3D printer (click here to see how). Now, with the Palette 2S Pro, you can print with four colors or materials at once, adding another option to 3D printing. While original Ultimaker settings are still the most refined, a single-nozzle Prusa 3D printer is also a great option, fulfilling all four wishes at once! Did you enjoy this share?
