3D scanner manufacturer Revopoint has launched its latest 3D scanning system, supporting higher precision scanning, smoother operation, better color effects, infrared scanning with non-irritating light source or industrial-grade blue light options, high file format compatibility, and automatic alignment with custom editing functions, all in a lightweight, portable design with easy connectivity.
Not everyone needs a 3D scanner capable of capturing large objects like cars or giant artifacts. Some users only need to quickly scan small objects with intricate details. The Revopoint MINI is designed for the latter, saving space, and is the company's first machine based on structured blue light technology. This full-color scanner aims to combine performance and affordability, ensuring that anyone and everyone can capture the finest feature details in their 3D scanning projects.
Compared to Revopoint's flagship POP 2 scanner, the new MINI has a smaller capture range and higher scanning accuracy, at just 0.02mm. This makes it suitable for various small part scanning applications with strict precision requirements, including reverse engineering, dental modeling, jewelry, industrial quality control, and 3D printing.

Revopoint MINI: Lighter, Smaller, Easy and Convenient to Operate
Revopoint MINI is known for its ease of use and simplicity, weighing only 160g. It is designed to be as portable as possible, suitable for handheld mode for larger parts and tripod mode for smaller parts, with an included 360° turntable for easier use on flat surfaces.
Unlike many scanning systems that use laser technology, the MINI can operate without any positioning targets. The blue light technology powering the machine is also designed to be insensitive to ambient light, allowing it to capture excellent details even in well-lit environments. Thanks to its full-color capability, the system can easily and accurately recreate the color and texture of scanned parts. However, like any scanner on the market, when it comes to transparent, highly reflective, or jet-black surfaces, a matte scanning spray is still required.

New Software for Higher Precision, Capturing More Details
Because the MINI is compatible with many major third-party engineering and design software today, it can send complete 3D scanned files (in STL, OBJ, or PLY) directly to any smart device for additional post-processing. For those who prefer not to use the MicroUSB cable included with the scanner, Wi-Fi data transfer is available for greater freedom of use.
Users can also utilize Revopoint's original software: Revo Scan for 3D scanning operations, Revo Studio for 3D model editing, and Revo Calibration for recalibrating the 3D scanner and resetting factory settings. These software support various functions, allowing for more diverse usage.
