The French company "MCE Metrology", established in 1995, produces a large number of dimensional measurement machines, with applications ranging from automotive and medical to dental and oral surgery, providing customized equipment, technology, and services. Initially using traditional processing techniques, it took the team an average of "four weeks" to compare results for each item produced. To manufacture a large number of customized measuring machines, the critical step of producing "prototype samples" is very important, requiring both rapid production and ensuring product quality.
 

The team uses the BCN3D Epsilon W27 3D printer, with its unique IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) dual extruder 3D printing system, offering "duplicate" and "mirror" modes. The two extruder systems are completely separate and operate independently, with print head movements not interfering with each other, achieving high-efficiency free movement and doubling production capacity.

The MCE Metrology team uses PLA, Tough PLA, and ABS filaments, and alternately uses water-soluble support materials and carbon fiber filaments to enhance the strength and stability of objects. They also continue to research and use flexible soft materials to produce mechanical part casings.
 

Using the BCN3D Smart Cabinet (SC) for 3D filament, the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) feature ensures that equipment operation is not affected by external power, increasing the success rate of every 3D print.
