【3D Printing Exhibition】NTUT Industrial Design "Water" in Turmoil: Limited Edition Merchandise Revealed!
The annual Young Designers' Exhibition (YODEX) is an important bridge between Taiwan's industry, academia, and design talent. This year, the Department of Industrial Design at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT ID) received "25 nominations" for the Golden Pin Design Award from nearly 4,000 entries! These nominations include product design, spatial design, social design, and other fields. The results, representing the efforts and refinement of each designer, will be unveiled at the 2021 Young Designers' Exhibition in May. Watch the exciting preview now:
The "Water" Element in Three Forms, Infinite Creative Imagination

.INFINITY BUBBLE (Nominated for Spatial Design)
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread globally, with one wave following another. Young designers in relatively safe Taiwan have designed the "Infinity Bubble," an epidemic air-filtering residence. Its outer layer uses negative pressure and filtration technology to block viruses. Its foldable form allows for easy transportation and assembly, and it can adapt to different needs, effectively responding to post-epidemic demands.

.Algae Cleaner (Nominated for Product Design)
Oceanic ecological pollution has always been a global issue. Excessive nutrients in rivers due to external pollution lead to massive proliferation of blue-green algae, which deplete sunlight and oxygen for other organisms, causing them to die. "Algae Cleaner" uses AI intelligence to automatically patrol water bodies and internal pressure technology to remove oxygen from blue-green algae, rendering them unable to float. This allows aquatic organisms to consume them, simultaneously inhibiting the spread of blue-green algae, reducing the risk of poisoning for humans and animals, and enhancing the survival advantage of other organisms to maintain ecological balance.

.Island of Light and Memory (Nominated for Social Design)
The world faces declining birth rates and an aging population, with one person developing dementia every 3 seconds. Caregiving typically lasts 8 to 10 years, making it a challenging journey for caregivers. The "Island of Light and Memory" dementia care toolkit integrates hardware and software, and synchronizes care information with healthcare professionals to reduce caregiver burden and improve care quality. It is an excellent design for family care of dementia patients and promotes a smart service model in friendly communities.

The nominated designs above are just the tip of the iceberg. 3DMart not only wishes the NTUT Industrial Design exhibition great success but also sends well wishes to all nominated works for achieving excellent results! In addition to showcasing carefully prepared design products, the designers have also prepared various exclusive merchandise that will be available during the exhibition:
.Exhibition Exclusive, Limited Edition Adorable Pets

Due to the enthusiastic response to the merchandise, pre-orders closed at the end of April. Friends who love them can purchase them at the exhibition booth during the exhibition period!

It's worth mentioning that "Mr. Cole the Duck" from the Ball Animal Kingdom, as well as the exhibition-exclusive hidden edition "Mystery Guest" gashapon, were both produced using the dual extrusion system of the Ultimaker S5 industrial-grade 3D printer. This system allows for simultaneous printing with two different 3D printing filaments, not only increasing production efficiency but also stably and precisely stacking layers according to the design blueprint, resulting in smooth surfaces and saturated colors. Ultimately, it successfully integrated with the concepts of the NTUT industrial designers! We look forward to your visit to celebrate and shine with all the designers!

The editor reveals here that during the exhibition period, there will be a limited edition hidden "Ball Animal Kingdom" character! Just visit the exhibition in person during the event to have a chance to get this "mystery guest." Don't miss this opportunity, even if you have to go out of your way. Be sure to come and try your luck at the exhibition! We'll see you there!
