3DMart wishes everyone a Merry Christmas! Don't be sad if you don't have a holiday, 3D printing will heal your heart! The Christmas reindeer is super simple, uses very little material, and is super cost-effective. Print it now for Christmas.
The reindeer uses an assembly model, first printed flat and then DIY assembled; we used the Ultimaker 3 for dual-material printing, which has a dual nozzle system that can simultaneously print support material PVA and PLA for the main body.
So what about the red nose? This time, we directly printed the red nose part again; you can choose not to use PVA as a base or simply use dual-color printing.
After 3D printing, dissolve the finished product in water. Doesn't it look like the assembly toys from our childhood milk tablets? The difference is that now with a 3D printer, you can create more complex structures and assemblies yourself.
Without further ado, let's unpack the editor's new gift. After cutting all the components, you will get these assembly pieces. Don't worry if you cut them incorrectly, just print another set with Ultimaker!
Assemble the reindeer's nose bridge, red nose, and neck mane onto one side of the face plate; the nose bridge has some clever structural details. The varying thickness created by 3D printing allows the material to have slight bending properties.
Then, attach the antlers and back panel, and you're done! It's so simple! How can you have a red-nosed reindeer without a Christmas tree?
We also printed an extra Christmas tree using the Ultimaker S5, performing dual-color printing with red and green Tough PLA. The new colors are saturated and bright, easily creating a Christmas atmosphere. In terms of functionality, it has higher strength and more stable printing than ordinary PLA.
With the Ultimaker S5's dual nozzle system, dual-color printing can be completed in one go, and the decorations and main body components no longer need to be printed separately!
After the Christmas tree body was completed, we also printed a Christmas star that required support as decoration. With the Christmas tree and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer together, you can have a happy Christmas by placing them on your desk!
The size of half an A4 paper makes it very suitable as a small gift for individuals! You can even design your own personalized greeting cards to give, which are both beautiful and fun! Additionally, adding magnets makes it a practical office item that can be attached to partitions or refrigerators to hold notes or business cards.
