Power and functionality:The P3 uses a stronger 80W CO₂ laser (P2S is 55W) and can be optionally equipped with a 5W IR laser module. The dual-laser configuration allows the P3 to perform engraving/marking on metals and plastics.

Size and speed:The P3's working area is 2.3× that of the P2S, and its top speed is significantly higher (1200 mm/s).

Core workflow:The P3 introduces the ACS™ intelligent workflow, integrating automatic positioning, auto-focus, and an AutoLift automatic lift base to minimize manual intervention.
Safety system
The P3 comes standard with a built-in CO₂ active fire suppression system; on the P2S, this critical protection must be purchased separately as a fire-safety kit.
The P3 makes a major leap in safety, earning Class 1 laser safety certification, while the P2S is a Class 4 device. The hardware-coordinated workflow includes:
Automatic positioning: just close the lid. The high-resolution dual-camera system (16MP SkyView camera and close-range detail camera) instantly captures real-time images of the entire work area, allowing you to precisely align designs to materials in the software.
Auto-focus: an advanced laser ranging system measures the exact distance to the material surface.
AutoLift automatic lift base: brings the material to the perfect focal point, ensuring perfect results every time—no manual tools required.

Thanks to the new modular capability (optional 5W IR laser), it becomes the first xTool CO₂ model capable of directly engraving plastics as well as metals like stainless steel and aluminum.

Working area:The xTool P3's standard working area is 915 mm × 458 mm, about 2.3× that of the P2S, easily handling large projects or more efficient mass production. For projects needing processing of extra-long materials, the P3 is compatible with an optional smart conveyor feeder that enables processing of virtually unlimited-length materials.
Processable object thickness (height):Unlike the older P2 series which required separately purchased manual height-extension bases, the P3 ships standard with a built-in AutoLift automatic lift base (maximum load 35.3 lbs / 16 kg), providing 220 mm of vertical space, enabling direct engraving on bulkier items like briefcases and gift boxes—saving time and effort.
