Bambu Lab H3C: The Complete Multi-Tool Printing System
Welcome to a new era of multi-tool 3D printing. Nine-tool rapid switching, multiple colors and materials make complex creations more efficient.
As Bambu Lab's third-generation flagship, the H3C features the Swaptek™ multi-tool rapid-switching system, combining independent toolheads, active preheating, AMS 3H automatic feeding, and high-performance motion control to deliver an all-new multi-material printing experience.

Swaptek™ Multi-Tool Rapid-Switching System
Switch tools and materials, then keep printing—in as little as 6 seconds
The H3C comes equipped with 9 switchable toolheads, each with its own independent feeding, heating, and control systems.
Because filament can remain loaded in its respective toolhead, there is no need to repeat loading and unloading at every switch, reducing the wait time associated with multi-material printing.
With optimized mechanical design, active preheating, and adjusted control parameters, the H3C can switch toolheads in as little as 3.4 seconds, and switch between two materials in as little as 6 seconds.

Active Preheating: Less Waiting Between Material Changes
Traditional multi-tool printing systems often start heating the next nozzle only after the toolhead has been changed.
The H3C starts heating early: while the current toolhead is still working, the next one can preheat in advance, reducing the temperature wait after switching.
Color-Blending Prints: Create a Rich Palette from Five Base Colors
Efficiency bottlenecks in multicolor 3D printing often come from repeated retraction, material changes, and purging.
The H3C's multi-tool rapid-switching system keeps different materials in separate toolheads, reducing the wait and material waste associated with conventional material changes.
Combined with color-blending printing technology, five base colors can be mixed to produce a wider range of color effects, expanding the creative possibilities for multicolor models.

Variable-Diameter Extruder: Improved Printing with Ultra-Soft TPU
Supports 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament diameters
During printing, ultra-soft TPU can cause unstable feeding and limited print speeds because of its flexibility.
To improve printing performance with TPU 75A, Bambu Lab increased the compatible filament diameter to 2.85 mm, improving feeding stability and print flow.
The H3C uses a variable-diameter extruder. A cam mechanism driven by a permanent-magnet synchronous motor automatically adapts to 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament, depending on the toolhead configuration.
According to the product information provided, TPU 75A can print at more than three times the speed of other TPU under comparable conditions. Actual performance depends on the material, model, and print settings.
Mixed Printing with Multiple Nozzle Sizes
Fine detail, speed, and flexible materials—all in one print
With traditional 3D printing, surface detail and print speed often involve a trade-off.
The H3C can use nozzles of different diameters in the same project, for example:
0.2 mm Fine Nozzle
Suitable for parts that require fine surface detail, such as watch faces.
0.4 mm Standard Nozzle
Suitable for larger structures, such as watch cases, balancing print speed and strength.
0.4 mm TPU-Specific Nozzle
Suitable for printing flexible parts, such as watch straps.
Multi-Nozzle Path Planning
Bambu Studio can plan print paths and layer heights for different nozzles, enabling greater flexibility in mixed printing.

Movable Rapid-Switching Hanger: Precise Alignment and a Clearer View
The H3C's rapid-switching hanger features a lift-up design.
When changing toolheads, the hanger helps align the toolhead precisely with the toolhead to be used. During printing, it lifts to a higher position to avoid obstructing the print area, making it easier to monitor the process.
Automatic Switching Between Processes: More Than 3D Printing
The H3C's multi-tool rapid-switching system can do more than switch printheads. It can also work with compatible flatbed processing tool kits to support different creative applications.
Tools such as a knife-cutting head and pen can be used for flatbed processing with the appropriate accessories and software features.
Tools that are not in use can be docked on the hanger, reducing the need for frequent installation and removal and making it easier to integrate different processes into one workflow.
The knife-cutting, pen, and some flatbed processing functions require separately purchased compatible upgrade kits and are not all included in the standard package.

AMS 3H Automatic Material System
Designed for multicolor and multi-material printing, with moisture protection
The new AMS 3H is designed specifically for the H3C multi-tool rapid-switching system, combining automatic loading, individually sealed storage, and two-slot drying.
Load compatible filament into a slot and the system can automatically identify supported Bambu Lab official filament information and complete the loading process.
Each filament spool is stored in its own sealed compartment, helping reduce the impact of ambient moisture on filament quality.

Automatic Filament Loading
Simply insert compatible filament into an AMS 3H slot. The system will identify and load it, simplifying multi-material management.
Two Drying Slots: Up to 85°C
The AMS 3H comes with 2 drying slots, with a maximum drying temperature of 85°C.
It supports drying while printing, making it suitable for PA, PC, and some fiber-reinforced filaments that require careful moisture control.
Integrating drying and material feeding can reduce stringing, bubbles, and print quality issues caused by moisture in the material.

Supports Expansion with More AMS Units
With compatible T1 toolheads and the appropriate connection setup, the H3C can connect up to 4 AMS units in parallel for up to 24-color printing.
Expand your multicolor material setup as needed. The actual number supported depends on the AMS model, connection method, and firmware compatibility.

All-in-One Design: A Neat Multi-Material Workspace
The H3C integrates the multi-tool printing system with automatic material feeding, reducing exposed spools and complex cable routing.
From professional studios to creators' personal workspaces, it makes it easier to plan a tidy equipment setup.

Print Quality: Improved Speed, Precision, and Cooling
In addition to multi-tool printing, the H3C features upgrades to motion control, cooling, and engineering-material printing.
Upgraded Motion Control System
The H3C's toolhead and X-axis assembly are about 40% lighter, helping reduce motion inertia and improve control during high-speed movement.
According to the specifications provided, the H3C reaches a maximum motion speed of 1,400 mm/s and a maximum acceleration of 25,000 mm/s².
These figures describe the machine's motion capability; they do not mean every model will print at maximum speed. Actual speeds depend on the material, model geometry, and quality settings.
Visual Encoder Board: 50 μm Motion Accuracy
With a visual encoder board, the H3C can calibrate motion accuracy to compensate for accumulated motion deviations over time.
According to the information provided, motion deviations can be kept within 50 μm.
The visual encoder board is an optional accessory and must be purchased separately.
Multi-Stream Airflow Cooling System
The H3C integrates multiple fans to provide cooling management tailored to different print conditions.
- Part cooling fan: Helps rapidly cool the print area.
- Left and right auxiliary cooling fans: Improve cooling for overhangs and bridges.
- Chamber exhaust fan: Helps control chamber temperature when printing materials such as PLA and PETG.
- Toolhead hanger cooling fan: Reduces heat transfer to idle toolheads during preheating.

350°C Hotend and 65°C Active Chamber Temperature
Supports a wider range of engineering-grade 3D printing materials
The H3C toolheads use hardened steel nozzles, and the hotend can reach a maximum temperature of 350°C.
With the appropriate material settings, it can print engineering-grade filaments such as ABS, PC, PA-CF, and PET-CF.
The active dual-zone chamber heating system can raise the print environment to 65°C, helping reduce warping and deformation in some engineering materials and improve interlayer bonding.

Fully Automatic Calibration: Simplifying Multi-Tool Printing Setup
The H3C can run automatic calibration to align tool positions, compensate for nozzle offsets, and level the build plate.
For complex models that require multiple toolheads, automatic calibration reduces the burden of manual setup and alignment.
AI Monitoring: Keep Track of Print Status
The H3C can use live, toolhead, and top-down cameras to help monitor the printing process.
Before printing begins, the system can check the machine's status. During printing, it can help detect spaghetti failures, extrusion path blockages, and nozzle clogs.
AI monitoring can help reduce the risk of some print failures, but it cannot fully replace user equipment checks and safety management.
The top-down camera must be purchased separately.

New HMS Health Management System
The H3C features the new HMS health management system, which provides diagnostic information based on equipment issues and ranks possible causes by priority.
The built-in MiniWiki troubleshooting guide helps users check and resolve issues step by step.
