Swap filament in 5 seconds with SnapSwap™
Most printers rely on filament changers to switch colors or materials, taking longer, but actual printing time is far less than filament changing time.
The U1 printer is equipped with four pre-installed printheads, each with pre-heated filament. Its SnapSwap™ system allows for switching simply by changing printheads, reducing waiting time from about two minutes to just five seconds.

No more color change purges
Traditional automatic color-changing printers waste otherwise perfectly good filament by "purging" it – continuously feeding one color of filament into the nozzle until all traces of the old color are gone.
The U1 printer is different. It only purges a small amount of degraded filament before a new print job or during flow calibration, reducing filament waste by up to 80% per print.

Solid and precise locking
The U1 uses steel ball-based motion couplers to precisely lock each print-heating component into place, without screws, magnets, or additional motors.
The lock is quick and secure, tested over 1 million interchanges with zero failures.

Less waste means significant benefits
Many 3D printers produce a lot of waste when printing multi-color models – often 3 to 4 times more wasted material than the final model!
The U1 avoids this waste through smart tool changing, saving filament, saving costs, and even helping to protect the environment.

Choose your material combination
With four independent extruders, the U1 gives you the freedom to mix and match materials, allowing each part to have its own function, or using low-adhesion combinations to make support removal a breeze.

Smooth printing starts with smart calibration
With four tool heads operating at high speed, precision is not optional, but inherent.
The U1's compensation algorithm ensures that each tool head operates in sync, suppresses vibration, precisely controls extrusion volume, and flattens the print surface, resulting in smooth, dimensionally accurate prints comparable to top single-head printers.

Effortless filament management
The U1 features a sophisticated automatic feeding system that accommodates up to four spools ready for use. It handles everything from filament detection to loading, allowing you to easily print colorful creations.

Manage your prints with ease
Snapmaker Orca is based on the powerful engine of Orca Slicer, with official material and machine model profiles tested by engineers.
With the Snapmaker App, you can start, monitor, and control prints anytime, anywhere, and even record time-lapse videos to replay your creative process. Easily manage your prints, all within your control.

Anomaly detection and alerts
Combining a dozen sensors and precision mechanical devices, the U1 automatically detects problems and guides you to quick fixes, ensuring smooth and successful prints every time.

Capture highlights, ignore trivial details
The built-in chamber camera is not just for time-lapse photography.
Starting with an OTA firmware update planned for December 2025, its AI will be able to detect spaghetti and workspace obstructions, and issue alerts in Snapmaker Orca or the app, helping you avoid wasted time and material.

CoreXY system, 500mm/s speed
The U1 uses a CoreXY motion system, equipped with a lightweight, sturdy carbon fiber X-axis guide rail, reaching speeds of up to 500 mm/s, and maintaining long-term precision within a 270 × 270 × 270 mm workspace.

Creative vibe, U1 inspires
Whether you're creating colorful works at home with family and friends, building your ultimate hobby center, or adding clever elements to your everyday style, the U1 makes it all easy and fun.
