Form Studio Wash+Cure Resin 3D Printing Washing and Curing Unit
The Form Studio Wash+Cure is a compact post-processing device for resin 3D printing that integrates washing and post-curing functions. By consolidating these two essential steps into a single machine, it simplifies the workflow from print completion to the finished product.
Washing and Curing Integrated into One Device
After a resin 3D print is completed, the model typically requires both washing and post-curing steps. The Form Studio Wash+Cure integrates both functions into one unit, reducing the space required for additional equipment and making the post-processing workflow more centralized and intuitive.
Washing Mode
After finishing a resin 3D print, all parts require the removal of uncured residual resin from their surfaces.
The Form Wash+Cure establishes a uniform and efficient cleaning process by agitating IPA or other compatible cleaning solvents around the parts.
Curing Mode
The Form Wash+Cure uses a 405 nm light source for post-curing, allowing the polymerization process that began during printing to reach completion.
Proper post-curing further enhances the final material properties of resin parts.
High-Efficiency Resin 3D Printing Cleaning Process
The washing mode of the Form Wash+Cure can be used with IPA or other compatible cleaning solutions, using solvent flow to remove residual resin from the model's surface and intricate areas.
Once washing is complete, simply remove the internal wash basket from the solvent and allow the parts to air dry before moving on to the post-curing step.
405 nm Post-Curing for Enhanced Final Part Performance
When resin 3D printed parts are freshly printed, the material's curing reaction is not yet fully complete. The Form Studio Wash+Cure utilizes a 405 nm light source for post-curing to allow the material to finish its curing reaction.
Proper post-curing can enhance the mechanical and thermal performance of parts based on specific resin properties, as well as improve surface finish.
- Increased part strength.
- Improved toughness.
- Higher heat resistance.
- Enhanced creep resistance.
- Increased hardness.
- Reduced surface tackiness on certain resin prints.
Supports Multiple Resin Cleaning Solvents
The Form Studio Wash+Cure can be configured with different cleaning solutions depending on your workflow.
IPA
Isopropyl Alcohol is a common cleaning solvent for resin 3D printed parts used to remove uncured resin from model surfaces.
TPM
The Form Studio Wash+Cure is also compatible with TPM, allowing for selection based on materials and specific post-processing needs.
Resin Washing Solution
Can be used with Formlabs Resin Washing Solution to establish a consistent Formlabs resin printing and post-processing workflow.
Why Use an Integrated Washing and Curing Device?
Saves Workspace
Integrating washing and curing into a single unit reduces the footprint required by two separate post-processing machines.
Simplifies Workflow
From washing to curing, the entire process can be completed within the same device, making resin 3D print post-processing more centralized.
Reduces Manual Labor
Establishes a more consistent washing and curing process, reducing operational variations associated with manual labor.
Ideal for Daily Resin Printing
Easier to establish a comprehensive post-processing workflow for studios, product design, engineering prototypes, and daily resin 3D printing applications.
