Ultimaker Cura’s latest version 4.10 brings new upgrades for Ultimaker Professional and Ultimaker Excellence (Click here to learn about Ultimaker's five major system collections and free trial of the professional version!), further streamlining the 3D printing workflow. Ultimaker firmware has also released its latest version, which improves the stability of material loading and unloading for the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle 3D printer when paired with the Material Station smart feeder. After importing your 3D print file into Ultimaker Cura, you can select "Ungroup" on an object to choose specific parts for individual component 3D printing, or select "Per-model" to simultaneously set and adjust different material details. (This feature is applicable to Ultimaker Professional and Ultimaker Excellence users and works with Windows systems.)
In addition to the Ultimaker Cura software update, to ensure a smoother workflow for users, Ultimaker system firmware has also made system improvements to address past issues encountered with 3D printing filaments and 3D printers. Let's look at the three new features:
.Material Parameters: USB Upload without Internet
Previously, when 3D printing with third-party 3D printer filaments, you had to pre-install the material configuration parameters on the Ultimaker 3D printer via a computer network using Ultimaker Cura. After the firmware update, you can simply insert a USB drive to directly upload and install, allowing you to continue working even without an internet connection.

(Click path: Settings Menu > Import Material Profiles, the system will automatically identify and proceed with 3D printing)
.Automatic Material Depriming, Clean and Unobstructed Tubing
After updating to firmware version 6.5, the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle 3D printer received a system upgrade. After each 3D print or material change, the system will automatically detect the state of the 3D printer filament end, and the Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle will activate and enhance the "Deprime" process.

This ensures that the 3D printer filament can be unloaded back into the Material Station in a clean, string-free state, effectively preventing problems caused by material blockages and friction, and extending the lifespan of the 3D printer.

.ER998 Error Troubleshooting
ER998 (or ER27) is a comprehensive system error. Before the firmware update, if the system displayed an ER998 error and directly caused the touchscreen to lock and become unusable, a reboot was required to clear the error. If a 3D print was in progress at the time, it would be interrupted.

Now, users no longer need to restart the machine; they can click the "Refresh" button in the menu to reset the 3D printer's status. This significantly increases the success rate of 3D printing.
