【3D Printing News】Ultimaker Cura 4.3 Official Version Now Available!
After receiving extensive feedback on previous beta versions, the new official version of Ultimaker Cura 4.3 has been released. It's constantly updated, completely free, and the download link is at the end of the article! Let's take a look at the confirmed new features in Cura 4.3.
Using S-series 3D Printers
The new Cura 4.3 version now includes parameter settings for the newly launched S-series 3D printers, including the integrated system of the Ultimaker S3 3D printer and Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle. It seamlessly connects Ultimaker Cura, Connect, and Ultimaker Cloud for cloud control, making your 3D printing operations more convenient.

More 3D File Options
The new Cura 4.3 supports more file formats than before, allowing you to integrate CAD drawings, 3D scans, and 3D model files directly into your workflow. Examples include Collada, GLTF, OpenCTM, and PLY. You can also download more plugin support from the "Marketplace."
Align Face to Build Plate
One of the features introduced in the beta version: simply click on the desired 3D print surface to be placed at the bottom, and it will align with one click. This eliminates the hassle of rotating and positioning, and overcomes the difficulty of selecting faces in complex objects.
Adjust Support Angle
Do support materials and infill always have to be equilateral triangles? If you have other needs, you can now set the desired angle for these line types in the new Cura 4.3.Random Infill
This feature randomly positions the starting point of infill lines for each layer, which can evenly distribute the object's strength and surface flatness. However, it will slightly increase 3D printing time.Dedicated for Small Objects
For printing ultra-small objects with holes and vertical structures, the small contact area at the bottom makes them more prone to detaching from the build plate. This setting can slow down the printing speed, specifically for small objects, to improve stability and success rate.Custom Z-Seam
Custom Z-seam has been added to the "Custom Mode" menu, allowing you to adjust it according to object requirements. For example, placing the Z-seam inside the object can make the prototype more aesthetically pleasing.
Colorblind Assistive Colors
To enable colorblind users to use Cura slicing software, the new expansion plugin differentiates colors, for example, by making yellow and green lines in the layer view more distinct. This allows them to freely use 3D printing.Bug Fixes
This version resolves some issues reported by users in the past, including delayed icons for partially closed programs and other bug fixes. Thanks to feedback from millions of users worldwide, Cura slicing software can provide a better experience with each update.Download the latest version of Cura 4.3 slicing software now and make your work smoother with the newly launched S-series 3D printer system! 3DMart's anniversary sale is counting down, with the biggest discount of buy two get one free on new products.
