【3D Scanning Application】EinScan SP Unboxing Review: Double the Speed and Accuracy!
Not long ago, we tested the 3D scanning performance of the SHINING series 3D scanners (click here to see the results). For friends who follow 3DMart, you've probably noticed the "EinScan SP scanner" on our official website, which is very similar to the "EinScan SE scanner" but boasts double the scanning speed and accuracy! Today, we're unboxing it for you:
First, connect the "EinScan SP" 3D scanner to the software. The system will display a "calibration" procedure. Simply follow the instructions to complete the calibration, and you can start scanning in just 3 minutes!
EinScan SP comes with a detachable stand and tripod. For scanning small objects, you can choose the fixed scan mode. With a fixed scanning distance within range, you can quickly obtain accurate 3D models.
We used the fixed scan mode of the SP to 3D scan a "Thanos" printed with resin. During scanning, the turntable automatically rotates 360 degrees, completing the scan in just 3 minutes. This high-speed scan also ensures detailed accuracy.
Don't worry about scanning large objects; simply use the tripod to fix the scanner and connect it to the scanning turntable. This allows you to freely control the distance and angle between the scanner and the object.
Next, we used the tripod scanning mode to 3D scan a King Kong printed with Ultimaker. When scanning objects with complex details, you can freely adjust the tripod angle as needed. The SP automatically calibrates the model's position, significantly improving the completeness and speed of the 3D scan. It only took 10 minutes to scan King Kong!
For the same 3D model, we performed 3D scans using both the SE and SP. The SP takes only 4 seconds per single scan, and can obtain a complete 3D model of King Kong in 10 minutes, whereas the SE takes 20 minutes, which is twice the time of the SP!
There is no best 3D scanner, only the most suitable one. The SE mainly uses fixed scanning, and due to its limited scanning range, it is more suitable for scanning small objects. With a budget of NT$50,000, it's a 3D scanner with excellent accuracy and speed. The SP is suitable for objects of unlimited size, making its applications more widespread. Its accuracy and speed are also twice that of the SE, making it a highly cost-effective 3D scanner compared to the industrial "EinScan Pro 2X+"!
