【3D Printing News】Cura 4.0 Beta: Five New Must-Have Features!
Since the initial beta release of Ultimaker Cura 4.0 in December 2018, extensive user feedback has been received, helping the official Ultimaker team improve the system based on these suggestions. The upcoming beta version will also integrate with the new platform, Ultimaker Cloud. (Further reading: Cura 4.0 Beta: 3 Major Innovations!)

As Cura 4.0 is an updated beta version, if you need to perform important 3D printing projects, it is still recommended to use the current stable version Cura 3.6 (download here). If you are keen to try new software, the download link is provided below. Here's a detailed introduction to the five key features mentioned above:
1. "Custom Mode" Interface: Following user feedback on the initial beta release of Cura 4.0, the official team adjusted the "Custom Mode" interface to allow users to select which parameter settings to display based on their needs; object movement axes remain between the value adjustment screens.

(More 3D printing parameter settings can be adjusted in custom mode)
2. Cloud Backup: "Cura backups" has been integrated into Ultimaker Cura and can be found in the "Extensions" menu. When logged into your Ultimaker account, this option allows you to back up your Ultimaker Cura settings to the cloud, making them easily accessible on any different computer.
3. Plugin Rating Mechanism: After logging into your Ultimaker account, feedback for plugins will be available in the "Marketplace." By evaluating their experience, users can help each other find the most suitable plugins for their applications and provide valuable feedback to the contributors.

4. Improved "Marketplace": The official team has improved the support website displayed in the "Marketplace," which will feature more detailed product descriptions and links to websites where materials can be directly ordered.
5. Remote Printing Functionality: Send 3D printing jobs from anywhere in the world via the internet to your Ultimaker 3D printer and monitor printing progress; no matter where you are, you can always stay updated on all developments. Currently, one Ultimaker printer can be connected to one Ultimaker account, and this feature will be activated with the launch of firmware 5.2 beta (this firmware test will be released soon).

(Use an Ultimaker account for the best experience)
