Installing the Advanced 3D Printing Accessories
The Advanced 3D Printing Accessory Kit includes several parts and accessories to make your Ultimaker 2+ or Ultimaker 2 Extended+ more stable. This includes reducing downtime and significantly increasing success rates, allowing even difficult-to-print materials to be printed well.
We primarily recommend using the advanced accessories with Ultimaker's new materials, but they are also suitable for general materials, greatly improving the quality of your finished products.

How to Assemble the Advanced 3D Printing Kit?
Below you can find instructions on how to install and use the individual parts of the advanced printing accessories.Nozzles
You will need to replace the nozzle if it is clogged and basic nozzle cleaning has not helped. Or you may prefer to use different nozzles for different materials. For instructions on how to replace the nozzle, please refer to Nozzle Replacement Method.TFM Couplers
Many industrial plastics require higher printing temperatures, which can shorten the lifespan of TFM couplers. The Advanced 3D Printing Accessory Kit includes two new couplers to reduce downtime when your Ultimaker's PTFE coupler needs replacement during use. For replacement instructions, please refer to How to Replace the Coupler.
Adhesion Sheets
Adhesion sheets are suitable for various materials and can improve the adhesion between the material and the print bed. Adhesion sheets replace glue sticks and can be reused. When applying, be careful to prevent air bubbles on the surface of the sheet and ensure the surface is flat. You can find information on how to apply adhesion sheets here.
Door
The door is very helpful when printing materials that are prone to warping and layer delamination. This door helps maintain a constant temperature inside the 3D printer, reducing the chances of prints being affected by external factors, and maintaining a stable environment at a constant 45℃.Therefore, the printed material cools down more slowly, and the entire object is kept at the same temperature. This will reduce shrinkage and the likelihood of warping and delamination of the object.
To install the door, please follow these steps:
1. Remove the door from its packaging, place it in front of the Ultimaker with the curved side facing down.
2. Attach the clips on the door to the door itself.
3. Push the door straight in, adjust the height slightly until the door engages with the printer's front panel.
4. After printing is complete, the door can be pushed up slightly and then pulled out through the groove at the bottom of the door to remove it.
When is the Advanced 3D Printing Accessory Kit needed?
The Advanced 3D Printing Accessory Kit can be used with all Ultimaker materials, greatly enhancing the performance of certain materials.Below, we have compiled a few material compatibility situations:

The door is strongly recommended primarily for printing materials that require higher temperatures or have poor layer adhesion. Because the door can maintain the temperature inside the 3D printer, it prevents delamination and improves the aesthetic quality of the finished product.
For other materials (PLA, Nylon, and TPU 95A, etc.), the door is not essential but can still be used. The door will not negatively affect the quality of the print; on the contrary, it may result in better and more stable print quality.
Adhesion sheets are highly recommended for use with CPE+ and PC materials. These materials require a heated bed temperature of 110ºC, but even at 110ºC, warping can occur. Using adhesion sheets can greatly improve the adhesion between the object and the print bed.
For most materials, glue sticks or adhesive can be optionally used to aid adhesion, but for TPU 95A, we do not recommend it, as this material already has excellent adhesion, and using glue or adhesion sheets may make it difficult to remove the object.
