For those of you who work with 3D printing technology every day, you're probably familiar with "dry box" equipment to keep your 3D printing filaments in optimal condition! Taiwan has a humid climate, with humidity often above 70% RH. 3D printing filaments in a humid environment will absorb moisture from the air, which may not be obvious on the surface. However, if moisture-laden 3D printing filaments are used directly, it can lead to many 3D printing problems, such as nozzle clogging, rough surfaces, granular textures, and printhead damage.

 
 

When using damp 3D printing filaments for 3D printing, after the material is melted and extruded through the nozzle, due to the moisture, it cannot adhere smoothly to the build plate and instead accumulates in the nozzle. If not noticed in time, the material will continue to build up, forming a solid block of plastic. Once cooled, it will be very difficult to clean and may even cause destructive damage.

Not only that, but each of the six filament holders in the Material Station has a run-out detection function. When one roll of filament is used up, it automatically switches to the next roll, preventing 3D printing from being interrupted due to filament depletion. The internal branching guide tubes also automatically prevent filament tangles, speeding up the overall printing process, increasing machine automation time, and reducing the need for manual filament changes.
