Function and Form
The Ultimaker S5 integrates powerful technology into a sleek, clean, and stylish casing that fits perfectly into your office.
The enclosed front with tinted glass doors ensures optimal internal temperature and airflow. The intuitive touchscreen interface guides you through printer
operation and displays detailed status information. Frame lights provide visual feedback and cast clean white light onto the body so you can inspect your prints up close.
The embedded power configuration gives the printer a clean base, allowing it to be perfectly installed in cabinets or on upright shelves.

Reliable Scaling
The Ultimaker S5 features a large build volume of 330 x 240 x 300mm. Print large-scale parts or place multiple parts on the build plate to achieve the scale of your design.

Reliable adhesion, from initial layer to finished product
A perfect initial layer is crucial for 3D printing. To ensure perfect adhesion to the build plate every time, we have improved our active leveling technology.
The Ultimaker S5 probes the build plate at more locations, creating a detailed height map of the build plate surface.
Using this data, any surface irregularities are compensated for in real-time, providing you with a perfect, ultra-smooth initial layer with strong adhesion that lasts throughout the print.
No constant monitoring is required - just start printing and let the Ultimaker S5 do its work while you do other things.

Longer uptime and greater flexibility
Interchangeable print cores allow for effortless, tool-free maintenance and maximum printer uptime. Different nozzle sizes allow for different printing characteristics,
ranging from 0.8mm for fast printing to 0.25mm for ultra-fine details. With two available print core slots, you can quickly and easily click in the desired combination
to achieve reliable dual extrusion.
Print in different colors for aesthetically pleasing results, or use water-soluble PVA or Breakaway support for perfect geometric freedom, easy post-processing, and high-quality
surface finish, making tactile models or complex mechanical parts look smoother and more professional.
For accurate and consistent results with various materials, the Ultimaker S5 uses two interchangeable build plates: hardened glass for general use, and an anodized
aluminum plate for advanced engineering materials such as ABS, CPE+, and PC. Each build plate can be quickly and easily clamped to the anodized aluminum heated plate,
ensuring security throughout the print process.
Complete control at your fingertips
The responsive full-color touchscreen integrated into the front panel of the Ultimaker S5 makes operation more intuitive, effortless, and clearer. Navigate through menus
and select options by swiping and tapping, just like on a smartphone. Detailed information such as loaded material, print core, and build plate and nozzle temperatures
keep you informed about the ongoing job. The 3D preview function allows you to see what is being printed at a glance. With 11 supported display languages, including English,
German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, the Ultimaker S5 is available to users worldwide.

Full touchscreen for simple and intuitive control
Never used a 3D printer before? No problem. The touchscreen intuitively guides you through setup and maintenance operations, using simple, easy-to-understand language
and high-resolution images, making it clear at a glance, regardless of your technical ability.
Continued Professional Prototyping
The Bowden extrusion system keeps the print cores lightweight for the fastest performance. The tight filament path ensures reliable printing with flexible materials like TPU 95A.
Tool steel feeder gears move material with precise speed and use an ultra-hard coating to prevent long-term wear. The redesigned silicone nozzle cover maintains consistent airflow around the print cores for efficient filament extrusion.
Loading, unloading, and changing materials is effortless, with an ergonomic locking lever built into each feeder. Flip the lever up to manually insert or remove material. Flip it closed, and apply the same force to the material for accurate driving.
The built-in filament flow sensor intelligently detects when the filament stops moving or runs out. To save your printing time, the Ultimaker S5 automatically pauses and reminds you to replenish the filament.

Engineering-grade materials for multiple properties
The Ultimaker S5 supports the full range of Ultimaker materials, including ABS, CPE+, Nylon, and TPU 95A. Each Ultimaker S5 box includes
one 750g spool of the latest material, Tough PLA. With high impact strength and rigidity, but with the simple and reliable printing experience of PLA, Tough PLA has similar
mechanical properties to ABS, making it an important material for large functional prototypes, tools, or manufacturing aids.
The smart spool holder conveniently clips onto the rear panel of the Ultimaker S5 and can accommodate two separate 750g material spools.
Load the spool onto the holder, and using the built-in NFC reader, the printer will identify the Ultimaker material type and automatically select the optimal printer settings,
so you don't need to set them yourself.
Our team of material experts rigorously tests each Ultimaker material to ensure maximum compatibility with the Ultimaker S5 and optimizes over 200 settings in our free print
preparation software, Ultimaker Cura, to create material profiles. Use material profiles to prepare your prints and eliminate guesswork and experimentation in 3D printing,
achieving high-quality results. If you want to try other materials, our open filament system also allows you to easily use third-party materials.

With Tough PLA, achieve the mechanical properties of ABS and the reliable printing experience of PLA.
