Building on the award-winning Ultimaker 2 and showcasing our knowledge of 3D printers and our most innovative achievements, the Ultimaker 2+ series is one of the world's most advanced, precise, and reliable desktop 3D printers.

From the very beginning, we have been passionate about open source, sharing our ideas, listening to various creative suggestions and opinions from our community, and continuously improving our 3D printers. This process constantly pushes boundaries and makes any innovative solution possible.

The improvements for the Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 2 Extended+ were inspired by our professional community:
Quickly Swappable Nozzles: Thanks to the Olsson Block invented by Anders Olsson, you can now change nozzles in just a few seconds. This makes it easier to print with different materials, simplifies cleaning and maintenance, and gives you the ability to choose between high-resolution fine printing and rapid prototyping.
Enhanced Geared Feeder: The new feeder in the Ultimaker 2+ will make it easier to push filament into the print head. It allows you to control the pressure freely and quickly, so for example, when using softer 3D printing filaments (such as TPE), the pressure can be set lower.
Optimized Cooling Fan: The new fan is almost silent, and the new fan shroud ensures the airflow is directed precisely below the nozzle, evenly from both sides. This creates astonishing print results with better surface quality.

Other outstanding features include a more powerful 35-watt heater, which not only heats the nozzle in a second but also allows you to print faster. Like all other Ultimaker series 3D printers, it also uses an open filament system, allowing you to use any type of 3D printing filament and precisely adjust the parameters to suit. And thanks to the quickly swappable nozzles, you can choose layer thicknesses from 0.6mm to a super-fine 0.02mm, meaning you are free to choose between rapid prototyping and fine printing.
