Last Friday (6/15), we hosted a very enriching knowledge feast for our clients. 3DMART specially invited
Ms. Cheng Ting-wen, an instructor from Cadtek Co., Ltd., Siemens' authorized distributor, and Mr. Hsu Ting-yu, an instructor from Shining 3D, to clarify questions regarding the usage/application of 3D scanners and the operation of SolidEdge
3D reverse engineering software.

At the entrance, simple SolidEdge gifts (notebooks and pens) were prepared. After signing in, clients could take their seats and await the exciting seminar content!!!

The seminar began with a 3DMart salesperson introducing all current 3D printing technologies and all 3D printers on-site, providing some 3D printed samples for everyone's reference.
They also introduced our latest SLS Powder Sintering 3D Printer Lisa to everyone.

Next, the instructor from Cadtek Co., Ltd. introduced the current application scope of 3D software and the advantages of Siemens SolidEdge software, emphasizing the importance of 3D software combined with Industry
4.0.

They also briefly outlined the powerful modeling capabilities of SolidEdge software.

The first half concluded here, followed by a break for food and cheerful interaction among everyone.

The second half of the seminar moved into the most anticipated part: the usage of 3D scanners and live demonstrations of reverse engineering software. First, the instructor from Shining 3D introduced the current applications of 3D scanning technology and different types of 3D scanners.

Afterwards, they demonstrated scanning a car bumper with a handheld 3D scanner. We have also made a video ourselves about scanning bumpers; interested friends can check out this introductory article.

After a brief demonstration of scanning large objects, they proceeded with fixed scanning, where the 3D scanner was mounted on a tripod, and the object to be scanned was placed on a turntable. In just a few minutes, the scanner completed a full scan of the object.

Not only did they demonstrate the actual operation of the 3D scanner, but they also taught some tips for saving files to keep them from being too large while maintaining fidelity.
Then, an instructor from Cadtek Co., Ltd., the SolidEdge distributor, gave a brief tutorial on how to operate the software.

The scanned file was then reverse-engineered using the software to make the 3D model more complete, ready for direct 3D printing.

Finally, colleagues from 3DMart also supplemented information on other 3D printing application methods.
After the seminar, many clients stayed behind to interact with the instructors about the day's content, and everyone felt they had gained a lot.

Lastly, of course, we had to take a group photo! So many people attended this seminar, it was really lively!!!

We will continue to organize similar events in the future to help everyone learn more about 3D printing/3D scanning technologies, so stay tuned!!!
