Previously, we also used a 3D scanner to scan motorcycle fairings. Do you still remember?
The most surprising aspect of the fairing scan was the detailed presentation of the back, with even the smallest connecting holes being completely scanned.
This time, we will also introduce a car-related part – a car's rear tail light housing.
First, let's look at the shape of the object to be scanned. There are two holes in the front for the tail lights, and a handle part at the back.

Since the object is made of highly reflective metal, we need to first apply scanning target stickers, and then proceed with powder spraying.

When applying the scanning target stickers, try to avoid placing them too regularly or neatly. The denser the stickers, the more accurate the scan will be.

Remember to apply plenty of stickers to both the front and back!
After scanning for a period of time, the completed 3D model file:

The completeness of this 3D scan is also excellent, capable of clearly capturing features without any post-processing. Among handheld 3D scanners,EINSCAN PRO+ is arguably one of the best. If you have other 3D scanning questions or need 3D scanning services, please let us know your requirements.
