【3D Printing Workshop】A Comprehensive Guide to Three Technologies: Printing, Modeling, and Scanning!
The workshop on March 8th was met with enthusiastic registration. In addition to 3D printing technology, it also covered Solid Edge modeling and scanning. For those who missed out, don't worry! We'll take you through the highlights of the day's exciting content now! During the breaks, we also prepared plenty of drinks and snacks, so you wouldn't get sleepy or hungry – we wanted you to focus on learning the technology!
Before the seminar began, everyone was very interested in the 3D printed samples, and the 3DMART staff patiently answered all questions. Our instructor, Artem, also speaks excellent Chinese, so there's absolutely no need to worry!
First, Solid Edge modeling was introduced, providing everyone with a coherent concept from the operating interface to object formation. Currently, purchasing an EinScan Pro 2X or 2X Plus series comes with a free dedicated Solid Edge software, making post-scanning refinements more convenient.
In addition to explaining 3D printing forming techniques, there were also many finished products available for the audience to pass around, allowing everyone to more intuitively understand the three common applications of 3D printing. Furthermore, online tutorials were also provided on-site, so attendees could research these 3D printing technologies after class. During this lecture, a total of three different objects were scanned live: a Thanos action figure, a car bumper, and a real human face test; comparing with the physical Thanos figure, even the lines on the chin were clearly visible after scanning.

Previously, we shared a scan test of a car bumper (further reading: EinScan Pro 2X+ Challenge! Bumper modeling in just 3 minutes!). We also used the handheld scanning mode on site, allowing everyone to experience just how fast the molding process is. For those who didn't get a chance to take photos or videos, you can directly refer to our time-lapse video with a stopwatch.
Finally, volunteers experienced face scanning firsthand. The colored scan imaging accurately recorded the volunteers' facial features, which can be easily achieved through computer calculation. This is highly convenient and fast for industrial, artistic, or medical applications.
