【Setup】
1. Adjust the tripod height to 4.5 feet (1.37 meters).

3. Remove the Pro3 from its case. Gently pull the red ribbon to lift the camera.
4. Insert the battery. Place the camera on its side on a flat surface. Align the battery with the pins inside the battery compartment and snap it into place. Do not force the battery; if you feel you need to apply a lot of force, stop and ensure it is properly aligned.

5. Open the clips on the side of the tripod head. Align the mounting socket at the bottom of the camera with the top of the tripod head and clip it on, then close the side clips to secure the camera while keeping it stable.
- The camera's rotation axis is aligned with the lens, not with the center of the camera. This unique profile is designed for optimal capture, and proper installation ensures stability and security.
6. Power on. Press and hold the power button below the display screen on the back of the camera (for approximately 2 seconds).
- Remove the magnetic lens cap. The camera display screen shows the Matterport logo, indicating it is booting up and warming up.

【Maintenance】
-
Transporting the Camera
The Matterport Pro3 Camera is sensitive and precisely calibrated. Always transport the camera in a padded carrying case or storage box and handle it with care. If traveling by air, we recommend keeping the camera in your carry-on luggage.
-
Lens Care
Treat the Pro3 Camera lens as you would a DSLR camera lens. To wipe away fingerprints, use a camera lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Always dust the lens first, then apply cleaner to the cloth (not directly to the lens). The rotating mirror requires similar care.
-
Storage and Temperature
Do not use or place the Pro3 in very high temperatures. Battery performance will degrade, and its lifespan will be shortened. The camera should be stored at room temperature with the battery removed.
【Safety Precautions】
Stability
Always ensure the camera is operated correctly on a flat and stable surface. If the Pro3 tips over, it may cause personal injury or damage to the camera.
General Use
| Do not disassemble or dismantle the camera. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the camera. Use only Matterport-recommended equipment and accessories, and follow the setup instructions in this guide. |
Rotating Mirror
| The rotating mirror rotates at high speed during and for a short time after scanning. To protect your personal safety and avoid damage to the Pro3, please keep your hands, hair, or any other objects at a safe distance from the rotating mirror assembly while it is rotating. |
