Have you ever thought of using 3D printing to make mooncake molds? You don't have to be limited by commercially available mooncakes; you can create your own unique mooncakes. Come and see our 3DMART
exclusive mooncakes!~~~
The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner. On this day, everyone gathers to barbecue, eat pomelos, and feast on mooncakes.
Every year, mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival are constantly innovated, with various flavors to choose from. But if you can make your own mooncakes, you can use even more special flavors, and the shapes can be customized to your liking.
So this year, 3DMART decided to make its own mooncakes. Of course, the flavors had to be special. Guess what flavor we made?
3D Printing Mooncake Production Process

First, we used an Ultimaker 3D printer to print the 3D file of our designed 3DMART bear shape. The bear head emerging from the center of the mooncake
is the shape of the bear in our logo. We also added text on the side to give the mooncake a more cohesive look.

Place the mooncake mold into an alcohol polishing machine for a while to make the surface smoother. After the mold is completely dry, you can make the silicone mold!

The left is the unpolished 3D printed mold, and the right is the alcohol-polished 3D printed mold.
For the silicone mold making process, please refer to the previous Spider-Man head candle article. We won't go into detail here. This time we used small paper cups to assist in the production. (A friendly reminder: The silicone used here must be food-grade!)

Next up is the chef's cooking time! Everyone can choose their favorite fillings. We love chocolate, so we chose chocolate for everything. The outer layer is
dark chocolate, and the filling is mint chocolate chip ice cream. A very novel mooncake flavor, it seems more like a cake?!

Doesn't it look delicious! It actually tastes very good too~~~ We enjoyed it very happily. After taking photos, everyone immediately ate it all up. How hungry were they??
