【3D Printing News】Ultimaker Cloud and New Filaments
Recently, at the TCT Asia exhibition in Shanghai, Ultimaker announced two new advancements in 3D printing—a cloud platform offering new functionalities for Ultimaker 3D printers and software, and Ultimaker Cura print profiles for three other major material companies. Ultimaker Cloud is designed to meet the needs of today's engineers and design professionals, not only simplifying the 3D printing workflow but also connecting with software and materials across various industries.

Ultimaker CEO Jos Burger emphasized: "Ultimaker Cloud is key to accelerating localized digital manufacturing. Through collaboration with material suppliers, our software and hardware make Ultimaker printers leaders in industrial desktop 3D printing."
Essentium, eSUN, and Polymaker Print Profile Files:
In addition to the new features introduced in Cura 4.0, Ultimaker users can also benefit from new automatic profiles, which can be downloaded in Ultimaker Cura. Common filaments from companies like Essentium, eSUN, and Polymaker further expand the application of FFF 3D printers across various industries.
.Essentium has created Ultimaker print profiles for their Ultrafuse Z PCTG material – designed for ESD safety; Ultrafuse Z PCTG is fully applicable in professional fields such as cleanrooms and electronic fixtures.
.eSUN specializes in biodegradable industrial polymers and has developed the following three materials:
1) PETG combines the advantages of both PLA and ABS, offering high mechanical strength and good flexibility.
2) ePA-CF is an eco-friendly industrial consumable with high strength and rigidity.

3) HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) can be used as a construction material and support material.
.Polymaker's print profiles can also be downloaded via Ultimaker Cura:
1) PolyMide™ PA6-CF is PA6 (Nylon 6) reinforced with carbon fiber to enhance hardness and toughness, while also improving heat resistance.
2) PolyMide™ CoPA is a nylon copolymer material that strengthens the printing technology for mass production of nylon, eliminating the need for a heated chamber.
3) PolyCast™ is designed for metal casting, capable of complete evaporation in high-temperature lost-wax casting at over 600°C, leaving a maximum of only 0.003% residue.
