【Vacuum Forming Applications】Innovative Medical Braces Upgrade, Large-Scale Production Doubled in Speed!

Large-scale human medical assistive devices, production efficiency doubled! The professional US medical assistive device team "JAS" combines industrial vacuum forming technology to correct multiple body parts including arms, waist, neck, and legs. Monthly production reaches 2000! Watch the production process now:

Joint Active Systems (JAS) is a professional team that develops sports assistive devices, producing a variety of joint and muscle movement correction products, and providing a complete set of exercise and static stretching treatments. Founded in the United States in 1992, it has successfully helped 300,000 patients worldwide restore joint mobility, trying to use vacuum forming technology to provide users with the most suitable rehabilitation assistive devices through unconventional manufacturing methods.

Over the years, the JAS team has developed initial models for various braces for the arms, waist, neck, and legs; combined with Formech vacuum forming technology, the model is placed on the work platform. Because the brace will be in contact with the human body for a long time after wearing, a layer of soft padding is applied before vacuuming. After the vacuum forming material sheet is heated, it is pressed down for thermoforming and cooled to complete the brace's shaping. (Click here to see: Formech Hot Test: Industrial Thermoforming is Super Powerful!)

The industrial Formech vacuum forming machine features a semi-automatic operating system, a fast-heating quartz heater, and a very large work area, allowing for the creation of large molds or thermoforming multiple models at once. The JAS team can produce 1500-2000 braces per month, doubling production efficiency!

The JAS team uses cutting tools to trim the vacuum-formed brace along its edges, cutting out the brace sample; users can immediately check if the size and shape are suitable after wearing it, which not only saves sample production time but also completes the brace at the lowest cost. (Click here to see: Just 3 quick steps, no need to customize medical braces!)

Did you enjoy this sharing? Vacuum forming technology has been widely applied in medical, food, product development, blister packaging, silicone molding, and other fields. Industrial technology is within reach, and there are various desktop and industrial models available. 3DMART offers more than just 3D printing; contact us now to learn more about vacuum forming technology and application cases.
