The outer cardboard box is not only aesthetically pleasing but also very sturdy! It also has small handles on both sides for easier portability!
Opening the box reveals comprehensive protective measures. All spaces are filled, ensuring no collisions inside the box during long-distance shipping. Even external forces will be absorbed by the styrofoam or the suspended sides first!
Formlabs also thoughtfully includes assembly instructions with pictures and text, making it easy for everyone to assemble!
The large item on the right is the resin tank, the item in the middle bottom is the build platform, and the small parts box is on the top left!
Remove the top styrofoam lid to reveal the Form 2 itself, but it's completely wrapped in plastic film!
The main unit is also protected by styrofoam at the bottom. You can see the thoughtful handles on both sides, making it easy to lift the machine out of the box!
Remove the plastic film from the machine, and the elegant and textured body will appear before your eyes!
Seeing so many assorted accessories, you might be thinking, "Wow, will it be difficult and complicated?" 3DMART can tell you, absolutely not!
No matter the 3D printing technology, adjusting the level is the most important. To prevent resin from tilting, the levelness of the Form 2's body is crucial. However, the machine itself automatically senses it, and if it's not level, a warning window will pop up. You can easily fix it using a spirit level.
Once everything is ready, you can slice your file on the computer and upload it to the Form 2 via Wi-Fi! Plus, the Form 2 uses a touchscreen, making it even simpler!
The Form 2 will first fill the resin tank and heat it to the optimal printing temperature, which may take a few minutes!
When it starts, the screen also conveniently displays the current print layer and estimated time.
Each time the print platform rises, the resin wiper automatically glides over to stir the resin, maintaining print consistency!
The platform will immerse into the resin, and the laser's pinpoint light will precisely cure the photosensitive resin where needed.
The object is complete~ With a 0.1mm layer thickness, this beautiful texture is something most SLA 3D printers can only dream of!
These supports are automatically generated by Formlabs' PreForm slicing software, precise and easy to remove~
Both the surface fineness and circularity are absolutely perfect!
