[3D Print Showcase] Form 2 Castable Resin Print Test

Ever since we introduced Moldlay 3D printing material for FDM technology, more and more friends have become interested in casting. They've been asking us about information related to casting and 3D printing. The industries with the highest inquiry rates are undoubtedly jewelry and dental technology. However, due to the molding technology of FDM 3D printers, they haven't been able to make their mark in these two industries. But SLA has already made significant strides in this field! Formlabs has also launched a castable resin that can be completely burned out without ash residue, capturing the clearest and most precise details and boasting an extremely smooth surface. Below, let's take a look at the latest finished products printed by 3DMART using the Form 2 3D printer!

Printing Parameters:

Machine Used: Formlabs Form2
Slicing Software: PreForm
Material Used: Form2 Castable Resin Cartridge
Layer Thickness: 0.025mm


After removal from the print platform and cleaning, it needs to be exposed to UV light for more thorough post-curing!


Voila! It's done! Look closely and you can clearly see all the intricate features!


This sapphire blue color is beautiful and captivating even without casting!


I really like this printed piece, maybe because the color and shape somewhat resemble the "fighting pieces" (misleading) I used to play with as a child.

Also presented is a small dragon printed with Formlabs' original grey resin. Does anyone recognize this beast from a masterpiece?


The small dragon, almost thumb-sized, was printed with a layer thickness of 0.05mm, showcasing both intricate details and fine textures beautifully.
