Japanese fashion brand "FDMTL," established in 2005, designs various garments using unique washed denim fabrics, which are now widely incorporated into many clothing brands. It has collaborated with major brands such as Danner, Vans, New Era, Chup, and Masterpiece. Gaku Tsuyoshi, the founding designer of FDMTL, flies to Paris every year from January to June to exhibit and unveil the brand's latest fashion collections. Due to the COCID-19 pandemic, which has been spreading globally since 2020, Gaku and his brand team were unable to participate.
To ensure the timely launch of the latest collection, Gaku and his team held the "FDMTL 2021SS" fashion exhibition on the stage of the National Noh Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo. However, due to regulations prohibiting large gatherings during the pandemic, the Noh Theater was not open for public viewing. Gaku ultimately decided to combine 360° scanning technology with the exhibition, allowing viewers to appreciate the latest products without having to attend in person!

What's more! In the FDMTL 2021SS online fashion exhibition, each new product has a dedicated QR-Code. After scanning with a mobile phone, you will enter the clothing preview screen, where you can choose between two modes: AR spatial interactive reality or 3D display of garment details. Through the Mattertags feature, each product detail can be customized and tagged, allowing for a more detailed explanation of the product as needed, whether it's detailed photos, introductory videos, or official website links.

Using our mobile phones, we can visit FDMTL's new season denim jacket in the office, just as if we were actually there, creating an immersive experience! The 3D virtual display of clothing details allows for zooming in and out, and freely rotating the garment's angle. The fabric details can be presented to customers in high resolution and without color difference.

"Through Matterport 360° scanning, the exhibition space is transformed into a high-definition online virtual space. Entering the virtual space feels like actually being there! No need to install any software, you can immediately explore the exhibition room using a mobile phone, tablet, or computer. No expensive equipment or professional knowledge is required, making it suitable for everyone," Gaku excitedly stated.

A little heads-up here! Not long ago, we were very honored to receive a 360° scanning collaboration proposal from Master Gaku Tsuyosh. To find out what the collaboration entails, be sure to follow our updates! Stay tuned!
