Do you all remember the exquisite chess set you saw at MakerFaire???
Many friends were very curious about it back then,
asking about the material type and how to print it,
as well as the relevant printing parameters.
Today, the editor is here to declassify it for everyone~
First, let's feel the tense atmosphere of two armies facing off, haha!

What machine was this chess set printed with??? This photo has already given me away...
It was printed with our Ultimaker2+ 3D printer~
The Ultimaker2+, which can use almost any filament, is the toy I've been dreaming of (just kidding XD)
The filaments used are ColorFabb's wood-like materials: WoodFill Fine and Corkfill.
First up is Corkfill. This filament has a very rich and uniform brown color, and the texture is simply off the charts~

The other filament used is WoodFill Fine. Its color gives a fresh wood feel, and it even has a slight sheen!

Other printing parameters were set using the slicing software Cura:
Layer height: 0.2mm
Nozzle temperature: 200°C
Print speed: 40mm/s
You read that right! The layer height is 0.2mm. The material properties make the print layers almost imperceptible, giving it a delicate texture comparable to 0.1mm layer height!!!

Not only does it have a beautiful appearance, but it also emits a special woody aroma when printing. Hurry and print a set to challenge your family and friends to a game of chess and strengthen your relationships~
