【3D Printing Beginner's Guide】Learn Bambu Lab 3D Printer in One Minute - How to Use Multi-Color Printing?
Multi-color printing is one of the most amazing features of Bambu Lab. We've found that many makers are unfamiliar with the AMS automatic material system of their new Bambu Lab 3D printer, and you might be experiencing the same issues. For example: How to change filament in AMS? What is the process for multi-color 3D printing?
This article streamlines all the steps and condenses them into a practical AMS tutorial video to help you learn quickly and get started right away!

【Step One】Equipment Preparation - Configure Filament Information
Before using Bambu Lab's multi-color printing function, you need to load the AMS with filament and configure the corresponding filament information. If you are using official Bambulab filament, the AMS will automatically identify the filament type and color via RFID. If you are using third-party filament, you will need to manually configure this information. Here are the specific steps:
1. Load the AMS with filament
• Open the AMS and insert the filament into the designated slot according to the instructions.
• If it's official Bambulab filament, the AMS will automatically read the RFID and identify the filament information.
2. Configure filament information (for third-party filament)
• Open the AMS configuration interface.
• Select the slot to configure and manually enter the filament type and color information.
