【Tech Development Update】Growth history reveals trends, new prospects for expanded services!

Looking back at 2014, 3DMART is approaching its seventh year since its establishment. The support and love from our vast customer base have been the driving force behind our continuous progress, sharing of new knowledge, and expansion of services. Last year, affected by the pandemic, many small and medium-sized enterprises transformed to survive this cold snap. 3DMART, having been involved, deeply understands the changes brought about by various technological applications. Let's delve into 3DMART's development data to explore this!
 
．3D Printing in its infancy
The founder established roots in Taiwan in 2014, when discussions about new technologies were not as heated as in English-speaking countries. The couple worked tirelessly to build a small company, introducing various 3D printing filaments and sharing application knowledge, hoping more local users would deeply understand the efficiency and benefits brought by 3D printing. The following year, with the support of original brands, they began introducing Ultimaker, Lulzbot, and other 3D printers, providing more usage tips and case studies. In 2016, a Hong Kong branch was established, officially making them a local foreign company, and expanding into photopolymerization technology brands like DWS, becoming the general agent for Ultimaker in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

 
．New applications side-by-side
As Taiwanese enterprises increasingly focused on 3D printing, our technological information also received television coverage from CTi News. In addition to collaborating on teaching courses and providing more filaments and 3D printing technologies, the demand for digitalization of industrial parts grew continuously, leading to the expansion of Shining 3D scanning and 3D drawing services.
 

By 2017, due to an increase in staff, the company relocated to its current Yonghe office. In the same year, the growth rate reached 30%, indicating that the Industry 4.0 boom broadened the public's view of the 3D industry.
 
 
．Industrial equipment on the desktop
Since 2018, the previously less common powder-based 3D printer Sinterit has also entered the 3DMART office. Technological innovation has transformed large factory machinery into lightweight, desktop equipment, and the growth rate for that year reached 14%.
 

In addition to SMEs, universities and colleges are also placing greater emphasis on industrial development. The "Next-Gen Smart Manufacturing Dream Team" touring vehicle, invited by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, drove into campuses, allowing students to personally experience the latest technology.

 
．More choices for micro-makers
Not limited to 3D printing, the demands of local makers have become a driving force for information sharing. To meet the diverse needs of the wider public, in 2019, metal 3D printers, FLUX laser cutters, Roland CNC milling machines, FormBox and DT2 vacuum forming machines, ultrasonic knives, and various other peripheral accessories were introduced.
 

At the end of 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the global economy, and Taiwan's export-oriented SMEs faced immense pressure. Although shipping costs surged fivefold, we maintained stable prices for all equipment to help customers overcome difficulties. This crisis also became an opportunity to accelerate transformation, with mature desktop processing equipment becoming more favored by business owners. In the challenging year of 2020, we still achieved a counter-trend growth of 14%, and added renowned Snapmaker and Phrozen 3D printer brands. The potential market for micro-entrepreneurship continued to flourish, and application technologies became more diverse.
 


．2021 The Year of the Ox: Turning things around
Looking ahead to 2021, our mission is to continue providing professional services across various technologies, and to maintain transparent pricing and information.
