In the eight years of Ultimaker's rapid rise, the 3D printing industry has seen tremendous growth and change; the number of global businesses adopting 3D printing has continuously increased. To track these developments, Ultimaker conducted a "3D Printing Sentiment Analysis" across 12 countries and presented the relevant data in 2019. This report was commissioned by the international research firm Savanta, which thoroughly investigated the current and future potential of 3D printing development in 12 countries, covering a wide range of industries, commercial sectors, and education, among others.

What does 3D Printing Sentiment Analysis represent?
The 3D printing sentiment index is an important indicator of market development and adoption rates, reflecting not only current market enthusiasm and expectations but also user perceptions and evaluations, thereby predicting the growth potential of the 3D printing industry in a given country. This report includes 2,548 professional interviews and an analysis of global economic factors. The survey also covers five key points: market awareness, adoption rate, installed base, 3D printing growth indicators, future optimism, and convenience.

One surprising result is that, given current awareness and adoption rates, 65% of businesses are still unaware of or have never used 3D printing, indicating huge room for growth in the industry in the coming years.
