[3D Printing News] Latest!!! Unbreakable, Ultra-Tough Polymide CoPA Nylon Filament

Polymaker recently launched a series of special products, among which the particularly unique new filament - polymide CoPA nylon - is truly eye-catching.
Everyone knows that ABS plastic has good strength and toughness, but it's not as wear-resistant as nylon. The polymide CoPA we've introduced this time also combines all the advantages of nylon (high strength, wear resistance, toughness, and light weight). It offers even greater toughness and has heat resistance up to 180 degrees.

This time, we used an Ultimaker 3 3D printer for the printing test. The print quality was quite good, with no warping when using a brim, and almost no extra protruding print marks in the details of the printed product.

The 3D printed part this time is an aircraft component that has appeared before.

Of course, words alone aren't enough. To prove the high toughness of polymide CoPA, we specially invited our handsome male colleague to be our hand model and demonstrate a thin piece printed with polymide CoPA filament that cannot be broken even with strong bending. Please watch the actual video below (P.S. Our male colleague used his maximum strength, and his facial expression is quite strained).

Of course, a comparison with nylon filament alone is insufficient, so we specially made a video comparing the strength of three different filaments: PLA, ABS, and Nylon.

In the video, you can see that PLA is the most fragile and breaks easily with a little force. ABS takes some time to twist and break, while nylon is so tough it can't be twisted off at all.

After seeing this printed object sharing, aren't you amazed by its incredible toughness?
Nylon material is very suitable for assembly mechanisms of moving parts, especially for gears, pulleys, screws, and other moving parts that require wear resistance and impact resistance and need to be frequently moved without easily wearing out.
Do you currently have a need for 3D printing highly tough parts? Now you have another nylon option! Hurry and buy a roll to try printing!

Friendly reminder: Nylon filament is susceptible to moisture. We recommend using a dry cabinet or Polymaker's new product, the Polybox dry box!
